Dr. Sou Hyun Jang

Sou Hyun Jang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Korea University, specializing in international migration, transnationalism, and health disparities. She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the Graduate Center of CUNY (City University of New York) and previously served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington and the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center.

Her current research explores discourse surrounding international students and domestic workers through big social data analysis, and she is also interested in academic mobility among international scholars in Korea.

Dr. Soo Jeoung Han

Dr. Soo Jeoung “Crystal” Han (soojeounghan@yonsei.ac.kr) is an associate professor at Yonsei University Graduate School of Education in South Korea. She welcomes PhD students at Cognitive Science program. Before coming to Yonsei, she was an assistant professor in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning at Boise State University in the U.S. She has taught classes on Principles of Adult Learning, Foundation of HRD, and Digital Approach to Lifelong Education.

Her research interests include the field of virtual teams, growth mindset in teams, shared leadership development, team mindsets, and women leadership. She has published several journals and book chapters in the field of leadership, teamwork, and organizational development. She also runs Team Mindset Lab to support teams and leaders to build better teams in organizations. Through team mindset research, she provides workshops and consulting to faculty, schools, governments, and corporations. She holds her Ph.D. and M.S. in Educational Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Eun Ha Oh

Dr. Eun Ha OH is an Associate Professor at the College of Liberal Arts, Yonsei University. She received her B.A. and M.A. from Seoul National University and earned her Ph.D. in contemporary French literature from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3.

Her primary research focuses on French prose literature between the two World Wars, with particular emphasis on the literary world of Jean-Paul Sartre. Her interests include the evolving relationship between literature and society, the act of reading and reception theory, and the power and limits of language. She explores these themes through the works of writers such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Paul Nizan, Annie Ernaux, Michel Tournier, and Victor Hugo.

Dr. Jiyeon Kook

Dr. Jiyeon Kook is an Associate Professor in the Department of German Language and Literature at Yonsei University. She specializes in conversation analysis and earned a PhD from the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (IDS) in Mannheim, Germany, with a dissertation focusing on medical communication.

Her research focuses on conversation analysis of phenomena observed in spoken German, effective German language teaching methodologies, and translation and interpreting studies. Her conversation analysis research spans various types of interactions, including medical and everyday conversations.
